Recovery Collars & Cones - Wormers - Thermometers

Hello, it’s Boris from AskBoris.com to talk a bit about the supplies and medications that we dogs sometimes need to keep us healthy.

Sometimes we might get sick or hurt, or feel nervous and when these things happen the human vet might have to take our temperature with something called a “thermometer", or give us yucky stuff to get rid of worms or make us wear one of those embarrassing collars so we can't lick until we are better.

Don't get stressed if your humans have to take you to visit the vet's office, because they are just taking good care of you.

Here’s "Phoebe the Papillon" our Health Care spokesdog, to tell you more…

Pheobe Papillon Dog Health Care Spokesdog

Hello friends… Phoebe here to tell you that if you get sick, are feeling depressed, or need supplies or medications, while there can be many different choices to help you feel better, in a surgery situation, you’re just going to have to put up with wearing that embarrassing recovery cone.

Yes, it’s horrible, you keep getting stuck in narrow places, and all the noises are so much louder than you’re used to, but you won’t be able to lick the stitches you got and it will all soon be a distant memory.

There are things called “natural remedies” and foods, chews and treats of different flavors that contain essential oils, calming Valerian roots, passion flowers, and chamomile to help us relax, and ginger medications to settle a churning tummy.

There are also things called “pain killers” and “anti-anxiety” medications that have very strange names (Ibuprofen, Ativan, NSAIDs, Acetaminophen, Aspirin, Clomacalm, Paxil, Prozac, Sertaline that your humans will get from the place with the cold table that can help us feel better when we are injured or stressed and your humans will have to decide whether a natural remedy will work or if a medication is the better option for you.
